children's health tips
Any health advice, please?

Like many people I'm really struggling with this heat. What are some tips to keep cool? I work in a nursery school children and I'm dreading going to work tomorrow because it is very hot. The staff is struggling with the heat so no I can imagine how kids feel. No I have to drink as much as I am too busy running around so any tips on how to be calm? The building that work is also very hot, we have fans going, but because the room is hot is just hot air moving around does not produce a fresh air! Help verge of tears at the thought of another day like this. I am sick of it constantly

The one and only reliable way to stay cool in very hot weather is the air conditioning. All other methods are only partially useful and quickly become useless as temperatures rise. Fans will not cool the building. You have to actively remove heat from the building to cool it. Air conditioning does this. A fan of the fact that air temperature increases (from moving blades and the motor). You may feel cold at first, because it helps to evaporate sweat, which cools, but as the sweat evaporates, the temperature and humidity in the increase of construction, and if you do not have air conditioning to eliminate, over time will become unbearable, no matter how much sweat and no matter how powerful the fans are. This is inevitable because of the laws of physics, there is no way to avoid that is dangerously high. Heat. You can bundle up against the cold, but no nothing you can do against the heat. Drinking water helps to replenish the water lost through sweating, but not really cool in itself. Sweating for long periods is too hard, and if the temperature or humidity are high, and / or air movement is too low, sweating is not enough, and runs the risk of hyperthermia (Insolation). If the temperature is too high, the only safe option is to stop working. In a nursery, where you can not simply send children elsewhere, bringing in portable air conditioners is the only safe option. Children are more vulnerable to extreme heat and cold than adults (although adults are more vulnerable to heat than they realize.) Drinks and ice cream and fans did not help beyond a certain point. You should air conditioning or stop their activities in the hot environment. Heat stroke can develop quickly and insidiously, so be careful. At the time of recognizing the it may be too late to do anything about it. Heat stroke and damage their ability to think clearly, so you do not realize what is happening before faint. Sometimes the first obvious symptom is a seizure. Unfortunately, as heat waves becoming more common everywhere, people in places that have not been so hot before have no idea how dangerous heat can be. Struggle with the fans and drinks, and try to be good soldiers because they fear being ridiculed if they refuse to work in the heat, and then sometimes get heat stroke and die. You would not work in a nursery in which only a few degrees above zero, which should not work in an environment which is many degrees above the proper temperature. In your case, you must push your management of the installation of air conditioners. The potential liability if a child or an employee passes out and ends up in hospital (or worse) much greater than the cost of renting some air conditioning.

child obesity questions
Do you believe video/computer games are big factor in the uprising of childhood obesity rates?

I’m just curious what you think on this question.
In my personal opinion, yes, I believe that video/computer games play a very important role in childhood obesity. Children no longer go outside and play, but sit in the house and play video games all day. These games are extremely addictive and they are responsible for an increased sedentary lifestyle among children.
Thoughts and opinions?

video games are not responsible, kids choose to do this. i remember all i did was go outside and play when i was little. but as soon as i had that ps1 in my room, i stopped. its all about choice. i don’t think video games should be blamed. you also have to think about all the fast food restaurants that are on every block of america- its crazy. we’re just moving a different cultrue i guess

Global Warming Effects on Health

A report of the effects of global warming on health published by WHO, has estimated that about one million fifty thousand deaths each year due to global warming. He further stated that each year five million people are suffering from health problems and diseases caused by global warming. The growing concern on this issue has led many scientists and researchers to take a closer look and prepare a plan to save human civilization in this attack.

Global warming has caused changes in temperature, the flow of ocean currents, sea level, ecosystems, the economy, agriculture, industry, settlements and on all these – health and life. warmer world has created a pleasant environment for the extension reproduction and life of various viruses, bacteria and infectious disease carriers. Little evidence of global warming leaving negative effects on human health –

– The distribution of vectors of infectious diseases have been altered by global warming.

– Heat wave as a result of global warming are causing death.

– The seasonal distribution of the few species of allergenic pollen have been altered by global warming.

– Various conditions global warming and extreme drought, heat and cold wave, storms, floods, fires, increase the number of dead and how injuries and diseases.

– Malnutrition and the disorderly development of children are few long-term results of global warming.

– Global warming will cause increase in malaria, diarrhea, cholera, dengue, encephalitis and other diseases.

– No increase in the rate constant mortality level ozone soil diseases, high morbidity and cardio respiratory global warming.

So global warming will affect human health in two main ways – with extreme weather conditions and infectious diseases on the rise. IPCC in a study of one of the areas most affected by global warming Illionis, Chicago, has provided an arrest report that by 2020 extreme weather like heat waves will increase the average weather at 400 and 497 deaths in 2050 from the current average of 191. European heat wave of 2003 is an example of their seriousness. Heat waves even cause cardio respiratory complications as a result of high death rate.

The results of poor health due to global warming and infectious diseases are already evident. Houston, like many tropical countries are experiencing frequent outbreaks of malaria, dengue, encephalitis and other diseases. Even cooler regions such as Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Queens is critically ill malaria since 1990 as a result of global warming. McAllen Texas also suffered an epidemic of dengue in 1995. Florida, New Oreleans, Arizona, Mississippi, Texas, Colorado and California – all are experiencing epidemic encephalitis for global warming since 1987. According to the IPCC, 65% of the world population suffer from high risk of infectious diseases in the near future. The same risk is increased by 20%, only as a result of global warming.

Faced with such impending disaster due to global warming, the need for proper planning and organized for the new adaptation and change has received a new dimension. Together adaptation to the urgent and basic combat the immediate effects, a longer planning and methodology are also gradually developed necessary to cope with the severity of future conditions resulting from global warming. A participatory approach to the development of human health is expected to sober the effects of global warming on health, to some extent.
